MageMe is an independent software vendor based in Ljubljana, Slovenia, founded by Magento developer Vladimir Popov. We build extensions and offer development services that power 5,000+ Magento 2 and Adobe Commerce stores worldwide.
Our story
MageMe started in 2011 as a one-developer shop focused on solving real problems that Magento merchants and agencies were running into every day — forms that actually work, quote workflows that merge with the cart, and product options that don't break under pressure.
Fourteen years later, we are still a small, engineering-led team. We release our own extensions under the MageMe brand, maintain them across every Magento 2 minor version, and take on custom development projects for merchants and agencies who need something tailor-made. The company is incorporated in Slovenia as ACTEK d.o.o. and is a verified partner on the Adobe Commerce Marketplace since its launch.
Meet the founder
Vladimir has been developing for online stores since 2008, starting on osCommerce and Bitrix — large-scale shops with multi-million euro turnover, where every millisecond of page load and every edge case in checkout mattered.
In 2011 he wrote the first version of WebForms, a form builder for Magento 1, which quickly became one of the most popular form extensions on the old Magento Connect marketplace. When Magento 2 launched he ported and rewrote it from scratch, and has been building on Magento 2 since its 2.0 beta.
Alongside the extensions, Vladimir spent years doing custom plugin development and maintenance for live Magento stores — the kind of work that teaches you exactly which abstractions break under real traffic. Over time, the problems he solved for individual clients turned into the seven products in the MageMe catalog today.
His focus is on clean, performance-first PHP code that plays nicely with Hyvä, Breeze, and stock Luma themes — so merchants don't have to choose between features and page speed. He writes most of the technical content on the MageMe blog and personally handles support tickets for complex issues.
